Jamboree and International Support Group

Since the group reformed in 2017, I've sat on the committee supporting scout groups across Warwickshire travel internationally, helping around 7,000 young members get the chance to take part. The work is broad: recruitment, budgeting, marketing, internal and external communication, and running the events themselves, all with real deadlines and real money attached.

It's less glamorous than leading a trip abroad, but it's the reason those trips happen at all. Travel numbers have grown every year since we reformed, and watching that steady growth, built from unglamorous committee work rather than any single big moment, has been one of the more satisfying long-run projects I've been part of.
